Weapon

Ensui
Ensui is a madōgu supposedly created by the Hokage ninja Kokū roughly 400 years before the present day (the present day in the Flame of Recca timeline, that is). The word madōgu roughly translates to "magical tool" or "evil tool" (I think it depends on which context you want to take it, because Kokū's creations have evil counterparts that were created by Kaima), but they are commonly known as "elemental weapons" or "psychic devices" in the English dubs. Ensui is basically a sword handle that uses water (from a liquid source or from the atmosphere) to create its blade. The length of the blade can be altered in accordance to how long or short the wielder wants it to be, and the actual amount of water taken in by Ensui is not reflected by its size (i.e. the length of the blade that is made up of an entire pool of water is the same as the length of the blade made up of the amount of water contained in a small mineral water bottle). With its blade, Ensui is then used for normal physical attacks or specialized attacks that use up the blade's water (listed below).

The fighting style associated with Ensui (and its counter part, the Hyōma En) is called "Hyōmon Ken" (I forgot what it translates to in english, oops). Supposedly, this technique is passed down from one master to one apprentice, but in Meguri Kyōza's case, he had two apprentices: Tokiya and Kai.

Just a bit of trivia about Ensui before proceeding to Tokiya's attacks: In the manga, the stones found at the end of its handle are colored red-violet, and the handle itself is light blue. In the anime series, the stones are light blue and the handle is off-white.

Attacks

Mizu Kugutsu
(Water Puppet)

First Used: Against Koganei at the Mori Kōran's mansion.
Description: This isn't an attack, it's more of a defensive skill. Water from Ensui takes the form of its wielder, deceiving the opponent and giving its wielder time to escape an attack or attack an opponent from behind.

Zettai Reido
(Absolute Zero)

First Used: Against Mokuren during the second round of the Ura Butō Satsujin.
Description: Ensui's liquid blade freezes, its temperature lowering to Absolute Zero: the lowest attainable temperature (0°Kelvin). This makes the blade more jagged and solid, and anything it cuts/touches freezes immediately.

Tsurara Mai
(Icicle Dance)

First Used: Against Neon in the third round of the Ura Butō Satsujin.
Description: Ensui uses the water beneath the ground to form icicles that spring up from the ground. May be used as a defensive or offensive move (i.e. he used the icicles to attack Neon, but used it them to protect Kagerō in the latter part of the manga).

Mizunaru Hebi
(Water Formed Snake)

First Used: Against Kai in the final round of the Ura Butō Satsujin.
Description: Water from materializes as four spheres, symbolizing the four directions: North, South, East, and West. The four spheres then come together to form a larger ball, and the wielder strikes this ball with Ensui to release water in the form of a snake.

Special

The following attacks/techniques are things that Tokiya came up with on his own, using his knowledge of Hyomon Ken.

Tsuranaru Hebi
(Icicle Formed Snake)

First Used: Against Kai in the final round of the Ura Butō Satsujin.
Description: This attack combines Tsurara Mai and Mizunaru Hebi. In his battle against Kai, there are icicles jutting out from the ground because of Tokiya's Tsurara Mai and Kai's Tsurara Gaeshi/Icicle Return (this term was used in the anime, but not in the manga). Tokiya stood near the icicles, and called on the four corners the way he does when he is about to use Mizunaru Hebi. Instead of slashing the sphere of water that formed out of the four smaller spheres, he stabbed Ensui into the ground, then called forth a snake from the icicles. Unlike the Mizunaru Hebi which is made of liquid water, the Tsuranaru Hebi is made of ice, with icicles sticking out all over its body.

Blade of blood

First Used: Against Kai in the final round of the Ura Butō Satsujin.
Description: When Ensui was out of water, he tricked Kai into thinking that he could no longer fight, but in truth had used his blood to form Ensui's blade. Among the three masters of Hyōmon Ken that are shown in battle, Tokiya is the only one that does this, and Meguri Kyōza commented that this move is Tokiya's "trump card".
